Darryl Wilson's passion for interior design spans a lifetime, reaches far beyond color and structure and has placed him among the most respected interior designers in Southern California.
As the son of a prolific real estate developer credited with building the first high-rise buildings on Ventura Boulevard and the nephew of interior designer-to-the-stars, Ron Wilson, Darryl was immersed in the world of construction and design from a very young age.
It wasn't long before Darryl developed his own style, a blend of clean lines and comfort, most often set against historical contexts. His role as an interior designer is more correctly termed creative director, as his understanding of other disciplines-construction, landscape and architecture-allows him to create a cohesive design that is uniquely his own. He is often singled out for his expertise in merging interior living spaces with the landscapes of Southern California and for preserving the integrity of the structures he renovates.
After 15 years owning his eponymous firm, Wilson's designs can be found both in the residential and commercial sectors. Kelsey Grammar's Malibu estate, Ted Fields' record company in New York, a film office for PolyGram in Beverly Hills and models for a multi-million-dollar high-rise condominium complex in Marina del Rey are among his noteworthy projects. His work has also appeared in a variety of publications, including Metropolitan Home, House Beautiful, Interior Design, In Style, Angeleno, and Chicago Social . He regularly appears on E! Entertainment Television's Style Network for his design expertise.
